We believe harmony and unity come from having cultural understanding.
Everyone has a story. We can all grow by learning and experiencing Who We Are.
Who We Are
Our Story
How did the Super Bowl-decorated New England Patriots plant the seed for Who We Are?
It started with Patriots players and staff sharing their stories.
Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time.
In 2020, a series of events ignited a national reaction, shining a light on a number of social and human rights injustices in our country. The Patriots and their players gathered as a team to talk, listen and learn. Those talks became regular, eye-opening and often emotional discussions about cultural differences. Everyone’s story was different. They grew as a team with each story told. They learned and they wanted to do more to help others.
Berj Najarian, the Patriots’ director of football/head coach administration, talked about his strong Armenian heritage, shared details about his ancestral country’s history and informed the team about a devastating war taking place against Armenians.
That story brought action and was the cause for inspiration. As the six-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots have proven, Najarian knew the power of teamwork in pursuit of a common goal. He wanted to help others in a collaborative way by starting a foundation that focuses on cultural understanding. By creating connections through our extraordinary cultures, we all grow.
This is Who We Are!
Our founder, Berj Najarian, talks about his connection to Armenian culture and where it comes from.
